IDOC Tax Form signature.

I'm an international student, and in the IDOC form upload it says > Submit a complete, readable, signed copy of your final 2015 federal income tax return, > PDFs generated by your tax preparation software are preferred. Can I directly submit the PDF generated, or do I need to print that, have my parents sign it and then scan and upload the scanned doc? Thanks
