My budget ranges from 24-30k each year for tuition only. and most good public schools would cost 32-36k just for tuition, just around 5-10k above my budget. I need to know which great undergraduate business schools would be a high chance of giving out merit scholarships to me with these conditions of mine:
- International & transfer student.
- Approx. GPA upon transferring from community college: 3.82-3.85
- A few student clubs attended. (no sports)
- High TOEFL score and hopefully good essay to work on.
I'm already considering Seattle U as I'm currently in WA state and I think it is a quite easy reach, their best scholarship would put me at 24k/year tuition which is absolutely within my budget range, but I would still prefer to go to schools with better academic reputation. Saw that Boston U's Presidential Scholarship would reduce the tuition to 29k/year which is crazy good of a deal for me, but I have no idea how competitive is it going to be. Possibility?
So, even though I'm not looking for a free ride, a range of 5-10k for public universities and 15-25k for private universities would do me wonder. Only public school I know that offer scholarship is OSU (Fisher), which might be no more than decent and I don't even know how much am I going to get as international transfer student. School's reputation is the deal closer, too bad I might have got the wrong parents so I can't go anywhere I want LOL.
Would private school be a better shot than public schools for scholarships?
