I was contacted by a University I applied to regarding my financial aid application and its review within a committee. I was just wondering if colleges go to the trouble of processing (calculating the award) every single financial aid application (meaning anyone that submitted the appropriate documents, admitted or not) for early applicants or if they just process those from the admitted pool. The school is need-blind but it seems like an awful lot of trouble for them to process financial aid info if they aren't going to admit the student. Can anyone clarify on this particular part of the process?
