What Happened:
During the first few months of the spring semester my family had to move out of the home that we had been living in for about 9 years due to not being able to pay for our mortgage. As a result, we needed to move to a smaller home and for the entire spring semester I was desperately looking for a job to help support my family and I during that change. There even came a point that my mother had to use some of my financial aid money to pay bills. I must also admit that my time management skills need to be worked on especially since I found it so difficult to balance the constant search for a job, moving, and school work.
What Has Changed:
I realized that in order to find a job as fast as possible I was to put a halt to my studies and not take classes over the summer. As a result of that decision, I was able to find a job during the first week of July and now I am on my official third week of work. I feel as though I can now properly support myself and help my family through change. Also, to combat my time management problem I will take part in the Professional Growth Workshop and register for the Effective Time Management workshop specifically. With the current circumstances, I can now feel self-assured that I can effectively balance my school work with my job, especially now since we just settled into our new home. I have also attached the most recent out of my two pay stubs I received from work as proof of employment.
