I've been looking at Temple as a safety, but it is only really financially feasible as a safety if I get a generous scholarship. I've heard some people say that the Presidential scholarship is guaranteed if you meet the qualifications, but I think that may have changed in recent years or perhaps they were just misinformed. Can someone confirm this? Also, if it is competitive, do they look at ECs as well as stats? I have a 36 ACT, 4.3 W GPA (not sure about UW, my school doesn't report), and my ECs include playing piano for 11 years, being a NSLI-Y summer finalist, and being class president for the past two years, among some other assorted clubs/volunteer work/generic stuff. Fairly strong, not outstanding though. Do I have a good chance?
