Fresh Start at New Grad School after Failing SAP at Previous Grad School Possible?

Hello everyone, Maybe someone has already posted questions along these lines, but I can’t seem to find them. And what posts I do find on Google seem to give inconsistent answers from folks who seem shaky on the subject. Anyway, I’m originally from one state and moved out to another for work. Several good, solid, managerial track years go by and I decide to begin part time grad classes at the local state college which I pay for out of pocket. My grades weren’t top notch due to me working crazy hours. By the beginning of my 2nd semester 25% of the staff at my company get laid off, including yours truly. Not to lean on excuses here, but this was incredibly devastating for me especially given the fact that I chose to break off an engagement months earlier to better pursue my career goals (it was complicated). I was also late in process of purchasing my first home, something I’ve always wanted to do. Needless to say my grades have tanked and I most likely will not meet SAP standards at the current college I’m at. However, I’ve decided to move back to my home state and enroll at the local state school there full time, but start fresh without transferring any credits (a loss yes, but not much of one). My question is: Assuming everything normally required for FA is in order, will a failing Standards of Academic Progress from one graduate school impact my ability to collect financial aid at a different graduate school even if I don’t plan on transferring any credits nor owe any money to previous school? Thank you,
