I posted this in the NEU thread as well, but haven't gotten any replies, so I thought I would try it here.
Has anyone had success appealing their financial aid, especially from Northeastern? I got accepted to Northeastern in February. Last week I heard back from a majority of my other schools, and many of them gave me more money than NEU, one being BU. I sent them an email with my BU offer and expenses that I wasn't able to show through the CSS (my parents provide school tuition and living costs for some of my family back in Africa). Basically, I am wondering if people in the past have been successful appealing for more money. I emailed them a few days ago and I included that it is my #1 school. Thanks in advance for any input and Congrats to everyone who got into NEU, or any college on that matter.
I got an email back today saying that they don'e match offers but that after I send in my parents 2015 taxes and W2s, that they'll review the information provided and get back to me.
